Me - D. Gibbs

I am the Vice President of an international, non-profit conservation organization, Save the Turtles, Inc. My eight years as a hands-on VP has provided me with plenty of experience writing web content, proposals, ad copy, brochures, fliers, promotional material, letters of inquiry (the list could go on for quite a while.)

Writing for Save the Turtle's website, has provided me with great exposure to the concepts and practices of SEO. It seems that we have done rather well, as our Google ranking is most often number one on the page.

I have also created most of the graphics for the organization. This includes designs for shop products, brochures, fliers, web layout, and promotional materials.

Although, I am still a very involved Vice President, every bit as passionate about saving endangered species as ever, I am currently enjoying a new incarnation as a freelance writer.

I've been writing travel blogs, articles, and just about anything I'm called to do or that calls to me.

I have particularly enjoyed writing about conservation, travel, and health. Hey, I even enjoy writing about real estate and online dating.

I have a passionate interest in the archaeology of prehistoric civilizations of North America and Mesoamerica. I am also interested in the historic period of expansionism in the American West. I've yet to have the time to fully delve into all of these topics as a freelancer, but they are definitely on my "to do" list.

Lately, I have become rather busy travel blogging, so I haven't had a chance to write for the Suite (another "to do").

Meantime, thanks to everyone at the Suite, for providing such an excellent opportunity for writers like me to fill out out our freelance portfolios--and make money at the same time!
